Heeramandi: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Latest Netflix Sensation Drops Trailer

Netflix’s highly anticipated series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, promises an engaging story with an impressive cast. The trailer of this Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial has recently been released on Netflix and grabbed everyone’s attention.

As revealed in the trailer, the show is set in the lavish Heeramandi district, where Mallikajaan (Manisha Koirala) runs a prestigious house of courtesans. But trouble arises when Fareedan (Sonakshi Sinha), the daughter of Mallikajaan's rival, returns, threatens and raises the tension levels. Additionally, we also got to see, Mallikajaan's daughter Bibbojaan (Aditi Rao Hydari) joining the revolution against the backdrop of India's fight for independence, while Alamzeb (Sharmin Segal) dreams of love beyond Heeramandi with Tajdar (Taha Shah Badussha), a wealthy nobleman's son. As emotions run high and allegiances are tested, Mallikajaan and Fareedan vie for control of Heeramandi, creating a gripping narrative.

Coming to the details of the project, Heeramandi:The Diamond Bazaar stars acclaimed actors like Manisha Koirala as Mallikajaan, Sonakshi Sinha as Fareedan, Aditi Rao Hydari as Bibbojaa Richa Chadha as Lajjo, Sanjeeda Sheikh as Waheed, Sharmin Segal as Alamzeb, Farida Jalal, Vaishnavi Ganatra, Taha Shah Badussha as Tajdar, Fardeen Khan as Wali, Mohammed, Adhyayan Suman as Zoravar, Shekhar Suman as Zulfikar, Jason Shah, Indresh Malik, and Shruti Sharma. The project is first-ever web-series directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is known for helming movies like Devdas, Ramleela, Padmavat, Gangubai Kathiawadi and more. This much-awaited series is set to stream on Netflix from May 1, 2024.
