Following the incident, the protesting farmers decided to postpone their foot march for the day. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher stated that due to the injuries sustained by some farmers, the group would return for today. He confirmed that a new group of farmers will leave for Delhi on December 8.
Meanwhile, the Haryana government has instructed the police to ensure that the farmers do not proceed further under any circumstances.
